HPL is produced by saturating multiple layers of kraft paper with phenolic resin and a layer of printed décor paper. The papers are fused together under heat and pressure using phenolic and melamine resins. The result is a single, rigid laminated sheet that can be flat laminated or post-formed on MDF or particleboard using adhesive.
